Meet Your West Michigan Photographer for Weddings & Families
I’m a West Michigan photographer specializing in weddings and family photography, capturing real, candid moments across the Lake Michigan shoreline and beyond. I love finding the beauty in the everyday, the messy, the magical, the in-between moments that make life feel real. Whether it’s a burst of laughter or a quiet, meaningful glance, I’m there to capture it with intention and heart. Because life moves fast, and the best moments deserve to be Framed in Time.

A West Michigan Wedding & Family Photographer's Approach
Finding beauty in real, candid moments across West MichiganI believe photography is about more than capturing an image—it’s about preserving a feeling, a story, a moment that becomes timeless. My approach is simple: to find beauty in the everyday and express them through curated vignettes. Photography lets me pause the world just long enough to notice the laughter, the quiet moments, the colors, and the textures that make life meaningful. My goal is to create images that feel genuine, creative, and lasting—each one a moment Framed In Time.
The Photographer Behind Framed In Time
Picture it… Teenage me in the 90s, working at a one-hour photo lab and portrait studio in Grand Rapids, Michigan—rocking a bowl cut that was absolutely cool at the time. Between developing the occasional scandalous photo, and babysitting the bunnies and chicks during the easter photo sessions, I was unknowingly learning everything about color, light, and composition.
Since then, life’s taken me on a few creative detours—hairstyling, salon life, and a love for interiors and fashion—but photography is an art I always come back to. Years of working with color and detail shaped how I see the world, and that shows up in how I shoot: natural, vibrant, and just a little unexpected. Nothing too posed, nothing too perfect—just the good stuff, captured in the moment.
West Michigan Photography FAQs
Do you photograph outside of what’s listed on your site?
Yes! While I specialize in weddings, families, seniors, branding, and interiors, I’m always open to creative projects. If you have something unique in mind, reach out—I’d love to hear about it.
How far in advance should I book?
It depends on the season and type of session, but generally, the earlier the better—especially for weekend or golden hour slots. Weddings often book 6–12 months out, while portrait sessions typically need 2–6 weeks’ notice.
What happens if the weather is bad?
Don’t worry—I’ll always work with you on a backup date. And in some cases, a little rain can make for unexpectedly magical photos (clear umbrellas included!).
Can you help me choose a location?
Absolutely. I know tons of great spots throughout West Michigan and am happy to recommend locations based on your style, accessibility needs, and time of day.
Do you travel?
Yes! I’m based in South Haven and serve all of West Michigan, but I’m happy to travel—just let me know where you’re dreaming of, and I’ll provide a custom quote.
Do you offer gift cards or photo session gifts?
Yes! Gift cards are available year-round and make great presents for holidays, milestones, or just because.
